"Chill morning, stone steps.
The path to the temple is steep.
We may stumble at times,
But we must always get up again."
It is truly fantastic how daily practice can shape behavior and perception over time. When I first started meditating in 1994, I could barely penetrate my 'monkey mind.' Now, after 30 years of practice, the awareness is profound. There is always room to improve; we are human animals, after all. Hold to humility, neither getting too high nor going too low.
